Want to meet Lord Dodo at the 2015 Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair at the Eden Project next week?

Lord Dodo is about to don his pinny and dress his stall at his annual Christmas charity fair outing to the Eden Project in aid of Cornwall Macmillan.

Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair

On Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th November, Cornwall’s largest and most vibrant Christmas Fair aims to raise the largest single amount for Macmillan in Cornwall this year.

Post-Olympic Planning

Is anyone else feeling the post-Olympic slump? I’ll hold my hands up and admit that I wasn’t excited about the Games at all (not being a sports fan myself) until I watched the opening ceremony. From that moment on I felt a fierce pride for our fabulous sportsmen and women and could regularly be heard yelling, in a not-so ladylike manner, “Go on Team GB!” through my lounge window.

Now that the Games are over for now and some decorum has been returned, I, like many others are filling the gap between now and the Para-Olympics by getting organised and setting myself on the road to losing weight, toning up and adopting an altogether healthier lifestyle. Inspired by the awesome show of discipline and positivity that radiated from the athletes, I have now decided that I too wish to enjoy that same healthy glow.

This is where the Book of Wellbeing comes into play. The beauty of this book, as with all Dodo Pad organisers and diaries, is that you can customise it to suit your particular style, needs and wants. I have been heard to say that I couldn’t run if my backside was on fire (much to Lord Dodo’s exasperation) and exercise, in any form, doesn’t come easily to me.  This is where the Book of Wellbeing becomes a Dodo-sent marvel for anyone who is starting fresh on the healthy living road.

Developed in association with Wellbeing of Women charity, it has laminated wipe-clean cards (and a wipe-clean pen!) for tracking progress, spaces for notes, a storage section for putting any articles, exercise cut outs, recipes, a food diary (with replaceable sheets), a pull out menu planner and more on offer in this fantastic 9½” x 8″ (240 x 200mm) laminated ring binder. With this you’ll have everything you need to enable you to set your sights on your own personal golden goals.

This Book of Wellbeing is the ideal tool whether you are an experienced exerciser or someone who is just starting out. I plan to use mine alongside Slimming World, tracking progress, storing articles and recipes, recording inch loss and, after some research, for devising a suitable exercise plan.

So, are you ready to plan your post-summer healthy living kick? Do you feel you’ve been inspired by the Olympics to review your lifestyle and make some changes? What goals have you set yourself? There are only 130 days now until you-know-when so, for those wanting to wow the seasonal guests in a new outfit, now is the time to start making changes!

Please note: Dodo Pad donates £1.50 to the charity for every copy of the Dodo Book of Wellbeing sold through our website and you can find out how to further support the charity at www.wellbeingofwomen.org.uk

Here is the Under 17’s winner of LAST year’s National Doodle Day competition in the NEXT Acad-Pad(2011/12):

Many thanks to all the National Doodle Day participants! Your support is greatly appreciated.

Toodle-oo for now and Happy Doodling!
